Question:  If you were to die today, are you 110% sure that you would not spend the rest of eternity in hell?

My friend, if you could not answer both of these questions with a resounding "yes," then I’m afraid you’re lost. No, it doesn’t matter what your religion says. No, I’m not trying to recruit you to my church. No, I’m not "holier than thou." And no, I’m not judging you. Consider me, if you will, a friendly passerby, giving you solemn warning to the danger that lies ahead. You need to understand what God Himself says. The Bible says in Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 

Have you ever wondered where you will go when you die? Sure you have! I know that because before I got saved I buried that very thought in the deepest recesses of my mind because I knew I was headed for hell. I wasn’t any worse than the next guy, but I just knew I wasn’t right with God. Don’t you see? We have all earned hell. Read this very humbling verse 3 times. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). 

Listen to me very carefully. Jesus Christ has already paid the penalty you deserve. The eternal Son of God shed His blood, died a cruel death on the cross and rose again from the dead to give you eternal life. You must accept this fact. Please don’t miss out on this; eternity is at stake. According to God’s Word, you can know you have a right standing before God because of what Jesus Christ has already done. You can know that all is well with your soul. There is absolutely nothing you can do to change your destiny except to see yourself as a sinner before God and accept God’s remedy to the situation. Read what the Bible says. "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8,9). 

Be honest with yourself. Put your religion and good works aside for a minute. You know deep in your heart that you’re a sinner before God. And you know that if you were to die as you are you would go to hell. Receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour now by trusting Him to forgive your sins. He already knows all about you and He loves you and cares for you.

Come clean with Him and He will forgive you and you will know it.  And you will know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are ready... for heaven! I John 5:11-13 says, "And this is the record, that God has given unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
