He was numbered with the transgressors (that’s us), and he bare the sins of many (that’s ours) and made intercession for the transgressors (that’s us again). But all this was done, that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. (Mat 26:56) All this suffering and humiliation looked forward to and fulfilled Christ Jesus’ work atMountCalvary.
